Getting Packed

We are busy cleaning and trying to make sure that we don't forget anything. Here are a few new pictures. I know that we are ready to make the trip to Abilene, but really Maddison is the one with ants in her pants. (haha) She is all packed (with her clothes) and ready to go. The other day when I came in from running an errand this is who I found in my bed taking a nap. Two sleeping angels.

First Doctor Visit

I am going to have to make this fast because I can hear her stirring in bed. She is such a great sleeper, I am so thankful. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and things look good. She is eating good and growing. I was a little disappointed when they weighed her, because she only gained two ounces from her birth weight, but she has already grown an inch. I do have to remember that she did not come home weighing the same as when she was born. We think she came home as 6.10, and is now at 7.8. the last several days she has been eating like a wild child. I think she is going through a growth spurt, because she is also sleeping in longer streaches.
The Gipson house is about to make the trip to Abilene for the month of August. Jason will be doing a family practice rotation with the Texas Tech clinic there in town. We are looking forward to the many visits in store and getting to spend a lot of time with family. We are going a little early just because we (Maddison and I) want to. My parents are working their tails off, it seems just so we will have a little more room in the house. Thanks mom and dad for all your hard work. I hear her. Sorry no pictures this time.

Sweet Pictures

Well we made out first trip to get our pictures taken as a family, but more imortantly while Maddison is still little. I am sure you all remember your first outing to have pictures taken. I tried my hardest to feed her right before we left so that she would be asleep in order to get some cute shots. With all my hard work we arrived at the studio and things seemed to going as planned. That is until we took her out of her carrier. At first things were fine, she was alert, wide eyed and we were able to get some shots. About ten minutes in she let us all know that she was hungry, and not letting up until she got some food. Thank goodness I had prepared for this to happen. With a full stomach, She Did Great!! I know I was the one that was so worried about getting some good shots, but really as it turned out, there was nothing to worry about at all. I am learning to live in the moment and not worry about things that may not turn out the way I have planned. Here are just a few, don't want to spoil everything for when we get to Abilene. ENJOY!

Amazing Weekend

We have had an amazing weekend and start to our week. My parents got here on friday and stayed until monday. They were such a huge help with everything. Dad helped Jason with some manual labor around the house and Mom really taught me a lot about being a mother. I am so glad they don't send new moms home with an owners manual because I would not trade that time with my mom for anything. Thanks mom for all your great advice and encouragement, you're the best. Then on Tuesday my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousin made the trip from Abilene to see Maddison. It was so great to see family members who are so close to us yet live far away. I am so glad that they were able to make the trip to see our new bundle of joy. Thank you to everyone for all of your love and support. Jason and I are so proud to be parents, and we would not be where we are today without the parents who cared for us.
Here are lots of pictures, enjoy.

My aunt Cathy loves to be creative, and
Maddison loves to have her picture taken.

My aunt Dana did an amazing job with this
blanket she made for Maddie

Dad did not get to be here when she was but he sure made up for it when he was here.

Maddie loves to take a bath. I think it is because she is kin to her mom; they both love the water really warm. She had to be on a Billi Bed for two days, to help with a little Jaundice

Mom found a great store with lots of cute bows.

This sign in our yard let everyone know about our new addition

Maddi Blair Is Here!

Maddison Blair Gipson was born this Sunday, July 8th, at 1:30 in the afternoon. She weighed 7 lbs and 6 oz, and was 19.5 inches long. She was very happy to get here and meet everyone, and Chaney is doing great right now, aided in part by pain medicine. We came home today and are trying to get the dogs to understand what it is that keeps making weird noises and smells different. They are struggling with that. We have seen and talked to several people, but certainly not everyone. As things calm down, we hope to talk to each one of you. Thank you to everyone who has called or come by, and especially to those who have offered/given their help. Here are a few of Maddie's first pictures

Quick Overview

For those of you who do not know, Jason and I are expecting any day now. I have been very busy with work and getting everything ready that I have not had time to even thingk about creating a blog. Now that I an finished with work, it has been nice to relax, and get to do some of the things I have been wanting to do for a while. So here we go.
We are having a little girl, Maddison Blair, and are so ready (past ready) for her to be here. I know that Jason is probably ready for me to not be pregnate any more. I have been so blessed to be 38 weeks and have not had a single problem. Jsut the usual, being tired and uncomfortable, but other than that things have been a breeze.
Jason just finished his third year of medical school, and in May will finally be Dr. Gipson. It seems like just yesterday that he was starting with very little light at the end of the tunnel. He is off all of July, which I am very excited about. It makes up for all of the time that we have not been able to spend together over the past three years. We are headed to Abilene in August for a month long rotation. This will be fun because my entire family is in A-town, and we will get to spend a lot of time with them.
I have been with Walgreens as a manager for three years, and am blessed that I am going to get to stay home with Maddison. I love the job, but I think being a stay-at-home mom will be much more rewarding.
Since we are just renting at the moment we decided no to do a whole lot of painting for Maddison's room. She is also having to share a room with her dads office, so things are going to be a little tight for a while. That is ok, it will only bring us all closer together.
